Du`a' for Sr. Octavia this Jumu`ah

“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.” – (Qur’an, 2:255-257)

Please keep Sr. Octavia Shwayya Rashid and her family in your du`a’, as she just passed away in Cairo. She was a mother, a student of knowledge and the wife of Br. Ubaidallah Evans, one of our American Azhari brothers. We pray that Allah (swt) grants her the Highest Paradise, al-Firdaws, and that she is accepted as from the shuhadah (martyrs), as she passed away in her pregnancy, and in supporting her own and her husband’s path of seeking knowledge. May her rank be elevated and may Allah (swt) grant her family strength and patience during this difficult time.
