In reply to <a href="https://www.virtualmosque.com/islam-studies/prophet-muhammad/heirs-of-the-prophets/#comment-34063">zujaja</a>.

I agree with the use of examples to current day issues. That's kind of what my first comment to the article alluded to; as a reader I applied current day circumstamces to the subject of the article.

For others who may not be able to interpret the article directly to what is going on in the world today...yes examples would help.

So let me help. The three types of people to watch out for as noted in the article's last section titled "Three Types of People to Watch Out For"...

1.) Current day application would be terrorists, groups, governments, individuals who SADLY justify their actions by saying Islam gives allowances for their actions. Anyone can call themselves a Muslim or say they follow Islam...doesn't mean they follow the TRUE tenets of the faith. But this doesn't just apply to Muslims...many non-Muslim governments/leaders/individuals as well are justifying wars and legislation for example under either existing laws (by stretching the law); or outright turning about face to truth on purpose.

2.) Current day application ties into point "1.)" where Hadith/Sunnah/Quranic interpretations are twisted/stretched/even created...and brought forth out of context to fill the person's own whims to fulfill a self-fulfilling prophecy in their own heads and logic for what they wanted to do from the get go.

3.) Current day applications tie into point "1.)" as well...all three of these points really mesh with one another. But a good example of this is how some politicians/media talking points in America are creating, festering, harboring fear mongering against Islam and Muslims based on sheer lack of knowledge/education on the truth. Within Muslims, this point can be ascribed to some Imams/'scholars'/leaders who may issue fatwas and the like without critically analyzing and researching the validity of what they are saying...rather they are acting on ignorance.
