Mostly because the factors that made the world crazy in the past are now being celebrated instead of shunned. The sins are sign of pride more than anything else.

If a man is not ashamed of his sins, more than nullifying redemption, the question comes to mind ‘Why would your Lord forgive you ?’

However; just as people say fashion repeats itself…so does society. And this society (i.e. modern times) is quickly going back to how people were during The Prophet’s time.
