Though I disagree with some of Shaykh Qaradawi’s fatawa (though i am in no place to argue with him scholarly), I love the way he, and Shaykh Tantawi (rahimahullah), are (and were) capable of putting truth before friendship, and friendship before any enmity. Alhamdulillah that Allah (SWT) has given us such good scholars to look up to.

I also really loved the piece on Shaykh Bouti. May Allah (SWT) protect him from deviance and sin.

When I read this article I get that feeling. The one I get when I sit with the older scholars. What is interesting is if the Sheikh had cursed Sh. Tantawi (ra), or talked about him in a negative way, this post would have, and Allah knows, got a lot more comments.
