Mashallah! This article was so on-point and beneficial and touched on so many important aspects especially that of not losing faith. When I heard about the incident in Illinois, it reeally hit home because I live in Chicago. I cannot describe how I felt, just reading about it made me sick. Like how can a person who is so practicing not fear GOD?

I personally feel that before someone becomes an Imam or religious leader, it must be COMPULSORY to have a psychological check, extensive background checks and other things in place. We need to try and prevent something like this from happening to anyone.

I broke down because I would want to protect every weak, and defenseless person out there from any hurt and pain, and I feel I failed as a Muslim. It really hurts knowing that I couldnt do anything personally. Khair, as you said what was written to happen will happen, we shouldnt question Qadr.

My hope and sincerest dua is that no one ever gets hurt or violated in such a brutal and horrible way, and that no matter what the test, our iman gets stronger IA!

And, maybe this is a silly question and I apologize if its offensive, I dont mean to ask an offensive question. I was just wondering did this happen in the Prophet s.a.w’s time? The reason I’m asking is because we look to his Sunnah for solutions to our problems in today’s time. So I’m wondering how he would have handled and dealt with such a situation and addressed the Ummah.
