Alhamdullillah, I was browsing to look for something about fears in islamic terms a kind of answer to my fears that overcome me, for exemple when travelling for abroad, when to face society pressures and opressions and so on. I am reverted ten years and try to practise as mumin, and do zikr all the time, still I feel much better I was thinking that I am mentally sick because in spite of all my good intentions to get closer to ALLAH , fear that occur to me sometimes still is something that worry me.. I read this article based in the great Prophet Musa as exemple and if even Prophets ot that level can have so many fears so I can have also as a weak and simple human being..it was so good and inspired to read this article in a moment that I feel great pressures, turning points, decisions , changes, fears of faillure , the fear of taking wrong decisions, fear of changes , even the irrational fears and so many others that I feel need to right this reply as a way to thankyou the brother that wrote it..Djazak Allah Khair and to express somehow my gratitude I ask LLAH to bless you..

Quran is the Holy book. Islam is the Holy religion so the people having belief in this religion should try to be Holy. Because without full filling this part of our religion. We cannot go for the next step in our religion without .this we should try to be Holy. I appreciate the effort made by author. This article has got a place in my heart.
I agree with it that Islam is the truth. Islam is the complete code of life. Every concept about life is cleared by Islam. A very good issue between man and women is cleared by Islam. Islam Quran is Book for the success in this world and in the next world after death.
I appreciate your effort.

JazakAllah..very nice article and good correlation observed. I realise this is what is meant in Quran ‘Ponder over the verses’..we need to think and anylyse every verse and get try get the meaning of them..thanx for the article

Prophet Moses was not among the prophets whose experience I ever thought I would someday relate to. And yet, today, I do. Masya-Allah, if not because of the stories Allah left me in the Qur’an about His Prophet Moses, I would surely have given up in my current effort, become impatient by the long period of effort this will take, or perhaps succumbed to my natural rashness and done something unwise though driven by good intention, or not have recognised that it is I who needs to grow spiritually to move beyond fearfulness.

The Qur’an is like a mapbook. If you read it cover to cover once in the beginning, yeah you can work out the key points and stuff. But most of it doesn’t feel very relevant without life experience. But then, you live, and its true value only becomes clear when you actually need guidance and realise, if you ask, it is always showing the way.

Alhamdhulillah! What a wonderful reflection on the events on the life of Prophet Musa (AS). Jazaki Allahu Khayran!

I too have taken comfort in the fact that the Prophets were at times afraid…so, its okay for us to be afraid. Its okay to turn to Allah and admit we are afraid and to ask for help. Its okay to turn aside and run away, for awhile while we build ourselves up with Allah’s help.

But I guess at a certain time, its time to act. Its no longer okay to sit back, although even at this time, we maybe afraid. But we must move forward despite our fear…I guess my question is, how do we know when we have reached that point?
