Without a doubt, the events have and should affect every Muslim and as you mentioned, ideally, every human that is witness to it, either directly, as you and your family were, or those of us watching and listening more indirectly. It is truly an amazing time in both our history and that of the world. I have to admit, I was eager for something like this to happen in the region; of course, it comes with suffering and sacrifice as you so explicitly stated here. I am in awe of what dear Br. Jamaal and Imam Suhaib did; they and many others like them have been inspirational in times of such struggle – a just struggle.

I am thankful that once the decision was made, that all of you were able to safely leave for the time being and that those who were meant to stay back, did so.

May Allah (swt) Watch over, Protect and Bless the people of Egypt in their time of need. Ameen!

Did you feel pain for the ummah when Muslims were being killed on the streets of Tehran after the 2009 election by the Islamic Republic of Iran? I didn’t see any protests on this or other sites to the brutality shows towards the ummah back then. Just an observation.
