Peace (salaam). If you have no other choice or way to fulfill “half your deen,” then the question becomes whether some methods of meeting potential spouses are truly haraam under all conceivable circumstances. Which is more harmful, to go through life lonely and frustrated because you cannot have a marriage partner (spouse) whom you met in an allegedly halal way, or to meet someone and have the comfort of fulfilling half your deen even if you have to stretch some things a little? Which is worse?

Yes i agree!! There is very little difference these days between non muslim dating and ‘muslim dating’. Would be very useful for a lot of people to know where to meet muslim partners. Im afraid i believe its seriously difficult to do things the halal way, the reality in society shows that the only way to find your own partner for marriage is by resorting to haraam.

Because I feel like people think any method of getting a spouse is ok, even if it involves doing the haram as long as they get religiously sound after marriage. And in general muslims have doubt if they can find a spouse without resorting to haram…
