Being a citizen of Pakistan I think those Islamic organizations who are working tirelessly with honesty are the main source of ethical reforms in the society.

I have been married for 22 years my husband does not want me to wake up at fajr because it “ruins” his sleep. He calls me munafiq fake etc. for doing prayers fasting. But I am old enough I try to do daily Quran reading he threatens me to leave me. Because I should spend more time in my children. He did not let me wear hijab.
I am a physician , have no authority on my income. I work like a slave inside and outside because my parents could not pay him dowry and he sent me to school that’s what he told me. Also threatened me many times that he would take me out of his health insurance or his retirement and then I will be on the street at my old age since he works for government he has those.
I never felt he is a bad person try not to think any of his abusive behavior and cope and go on.
But I do not want to compromise with prayers or Quran.
I don’t understand if it is a test from Allah or trap from the sayatan?
