I am trying to find a way to marry my Muslim girlfriend who is across the ocean in Tunisia and have it be legal. I am having a hard time getting the money to get there for no one answers my calls at the Tunisian embassy about getting a visa. Then on top of that we are 100% committed to each other and we wish to get married so that we can be together and that I can get there. Can anyone please help????

Because of my personal experience with online dating I would stress that one should put the utmost focus on real life meeting efforts rather than online effort. ex. Family networks, friends, lastly, in your city or neighborhoods.

Problem is its so much easier to turn on a computer and plug in rather than talk to your parents.

Also…because it is so controlled, I would say that online profile designing is by default a skewed misrepresentation of a person. It allows too much obsession on pictures and thus fantasies which ultimately skew perceptions.

So when a person decides to meet their online babe/dude. BAM! Poof! Its not what they expected.

Marriage has become such a difficult task for Muslims in this country and possibly everywhere else, due to the doing of Muslims themselves. It is much easier to go have a friend from the opposite sex then to find a spouse, what is halal and tayab. What do Muslims who don’t have families or who are not very well connected, what are they supposed to do? I am really puzzled on where/how to meet a potential spouse, I don’t want to go join an organization with the incorrect intention of finding a spouse, or go to the masjid/functions etc etc with that intention.
