Agreed. You have a legitimate gripe. In fact, the American media cannot begin to understand even this man. And, it won’t really bother. Being a culture driven by advertising profits, they have an inherent conflict of interest. Every time I have been involved with something where the media were involved, in 100% of the cases it was mis-reported.

As you know, the bigotry is rampant. It’s not only weighed against Islam, but also against Russia, independent politicians, and holistic health professionals, and a litany of other things that are not what they would call “mainstream”.

It’s pretty pathetic, I agree. This makes the media almost totally unreliable – which is terribly frustrating most of the time for those of us who know better.

Peace to you and I hope to see you again as we travel across the US. It was an attempt at political satire. Unfortunately, when Muslims commit similar acts we rarely see the same effort to understand the environmental, social and psychological factors. That in no way exonerates acts of terror, but, at times, the imbalance in reporting is frightening. I would also differ in that the neo conservatives have created a bigoted fascists discourse that borders on hate speech. A simple glance at the titles of some of their books is telling.

Also, there is a principle that we might consider. We can observe that in most situations the accuser is generally more guilty of his accusations than he whom he has accused. Shouldn’t we then refrain from using accusatory language in order to cleanse our souls from the same sins, which would be common to us all were it not for the mercy of God?

I too am capable of terrorism, and I am an Orthodox Christian. Furthermore, being the chief of all who have disobeyed God, I require more mercy than this man, the neo-cons, and the terrorists (whoever they may be). God, have mercy on me!
