"How do they figure that Muslims represent 0.6% of the adult population? That seems low to me."

I was thinking the same thing. Are there really more adult Buddhists than Muslims?

Assalaamu'alaikum,
JZK, for a very great and interesting article

Whats really intresting is the amount of musims in the bay area (expecially near MCA) in comparison to other highly populated areas of the united states. My school caries a roughly 5.3% muslim population--if not, more. Schools in my Santa Clara District carry a similer statistic as well.

How do they figure that Muslims represent 0.6% of the adult population? That seems low to me.

"44% of adults have either switched religious affiliation, moved from being unaffiliated with any religion to being affiliated with a particular faith, or dropped any connection to a specific religious tradition altogether."

This is represents a sea change in American religious life. It's a major demographic shift, and we Muslims should be capitalizing on it through da'wah.
