I don’t agree with STAR, it can create robotic and stiff responses. My general approach is have a start, middle and end and tell a story as you as the main character with a memorable conclusion. I also felt at times you also encouraged muslims to conceal some of their muslimness like the point about Jummah. I strongly disagree, I think transparency helps to foster trust and if they wont hire you for your muslimness, then you have your answer right there. Also dont necessarily agree about not bringing your own drink. I have been to interviews in the past where they have drinks and not offered you a glass of water. Be have a bottle at hand. Nobody should dictate to you, your right to water. It can also be used as a distraction to think, structure your answer and gain a moment to calm your nerves. If they offer your water, ofcourse take thier water. If they don’t have your own at hand.
