Salaam, this article made me smile! Very easy to read and puts things back into perspective. LOL I liked the pun about the sky being, in fact, the limit. I’m sure many of us could relate to that! And I also liked it when you said that the sky is not the limit for the believer, Paradise, and in fact, the Highest level of paradise, is the limit! Perhaps this is what makes us so “lazy” in revising.

Because we give up on our higher aims, we set our goals very low, and eventually, we either do poorly or fail. May Allah guide us. ameen. 24 Days to a GREAT Exam in my life please brothers and sisters make dua for me, at least once 😀 barakAllah ou feekoum 🙂

Worldly education may not be equal to salat, but the nature of excellence is that, if you are excellent you cannot help but do everything excellently (to your ability, of course). And if at heart you are not, or want to be excellent selectively (e.g. only with ritual ibadah, only with charity, etc.) then actually you’re not really doing that excellently nor will you be able to do other things excellently, because you HOLD BACK.

there is no holding back in excellence. it is not effort, it is a state of being. the effort is in cultivating that state of being.
